Terms and Conditions


Library membership terms and conditions

By subscribing to the Educational Toy Library at Mastermind Playground, you become a member and agree to comply with the following conditions of use.

  • Members must comply with the conditions of the copyright Act 1968 and copyright Amendment Act 2006.
  • Members agree to take good care of all the Educational items borrowed.
  • The items are to be used with children aged 3 – 6 years only. The items are not for children under 3 years due to being a choking hazard.
  • Members may borrow a maximum of 3 items per week.
  • The loan period is up to 2 weeks.
  • Loans must be returned by the due date.
  • Items can be renewed twice provided they have not been requested by someone else.
  • Members can request items currently out on loan to be held aside on their return. You can place hold requests or renew items through the catalogue or by contacting Mastermind Playground.
  • Orders need to be made 12 hours prior to collection.
  • If you lose an item you have borrowed, you must pay for it to be replaced. The replacement fee is the cost of the item.
  • If you damage an item you have borrowed, you must pay for the repair of the item or the replacement of the item if the damage is deemed to be irreparable.
  • Payment can be made to Mastermind Playground.
  • Members are to agree to the Subscription Agreement which is a contract between Mastermind Playground and the subscriber that defines the precise details of the subscription, such as the length of the subscription, the costs involved and the cancellation procedure.
  • Mastermind Playground employs the services of a debt collection agency if loans are not returned and fines paid within 60 days. This incurs an additional charge.
  • Mastermind Playground reserves the right to deny access to a member, without prior notice at any time if the terms and conditions are not being met.
